The Value of Scouting
We follow over 100 years of Scouting tradition with the Patrol method guiding our Scouts – While adults serve as key leaders, Scouts hold leadership positions and plan the troop’s program.
Make a Difference
The mission and core values in the Scout Oath and Law are important and relevant for both boys and girls. Youth are invited to take part in the fun and adventure that will help them build the confidence to find and forge a path to their own best self – today and in the future.
Outdoor Skills
Scout-age youth experience dramatic physical and emotional growth. Scouting offers them opportunities to channel much of that change into productive endeavors and to find the answers they are seeking for many of their questions.
Timeless Values
Scouting programs instill in youth the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.

In Troop 415, we will not compromise the safety of our youth or volunteers. Safety is a value that must be taught and reinforced at every opportunity. We are all responsible and must hold each other accountable to provide a safe environment for all participants.
Youth Protection policies
Our Troop follows the BSA’s Youth Protection policies to protect your youth and others involved in Scouting. Our Troop Committee and the Scoutmaster Staff follow mandatory practices, summarized below
BSA Youth Protection training
Required for all adult applicants before they can register or begin serving in any role. This training helps ensure that every adult understands the policies and best practices that keep Scouting a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all youth.
